POE workshop sample tasks

We have 120 stimuli of 3 types (40 of each type) and we need to pair these up at random across the 60 trials.

The stimuli (image filenames) are listed in the last 3 columns of the spreadsheet, according to stimulus type (StimHealthy, StimUnhealthy and StimNeutral).

Implicit Association Task using Game of Thrones characters.

This task is used to demonstrate between-subject designs using two different spreadsheets. The randomizer selects allocation of participants to spreadsheets: one in which Lannister's are associated to bad things then good things; the other way around in the other.

First block: trials test the ability to discriminate between members of the Lannister and Stark families.

Second block: trials test the ability to discriminate between good and bad terms (e.g. awful)

Third and fourth blocks: They test the ability to disciminate between good and bad terms associated either with Lannister or Stark.
