Gamebuilder webinar : Flanker Task

This Open Materials page provides the materials for the Gamebuilder webinar, where we create a Flanker Game from the classic Flanker Task.

In the Flanker Task, participants have to react to the stimulus in the middle while ignoring all flanking stimuli. In the classic task, arrows are usually used, but in our game, we use fish as stimuli and a starfish as fixation cross to make it more engaging. The experiment measures reaction times and accuracy, and it is generally used to investigate attentional processes, processing speed and inhibition.

Flanker Game complete

Built with Game Builder (This tool requires a feature license to use in an experiment)

Here you can find the complete version of the Flanker game which we are going to create during the Gamebuilder webinar. Compared to a classic Flanker task, we have added a background, changed our stimuli, added some animations and particle effects.
