Pre-experiment Sound Check

This task was designed as a quick check to ensure that participants have working sound in advance of the experiment.

They are first given the opportunity to adjust their volume levels to ensure sound is working overall. Second, we check that autoplay is enabled within their browser. If so, they can proceed to the end of the sound check. If not, they are given the opportunity to adjust their browser settings and try again.

Sound check

Built with Experiment

This task was designed as a quick check to ensure that participants have working sound in advance of the experiment. It is typically placed first in the experiment tree.

They are first given the opportunity to adjust their volume levels to ensure sound is working overall. Second, we check that autoplay is enabled within their browser. If so, they can proceed to the end of the sound check. If not, they are given the opportunity to adjust their browser settings and try again.

Where possible, you may wish to replace the stimuli with others relevant to your experiment to ensure that participants get the volume levels correct.
