Built with Code Editor

This tool converts Gorilla self-paced reading (SPR) results, built using Task Builder 2, and converts the cumulative RT into analysis-ready long-format files with correct individual word reading times (calculated as time differences, not cumulative timestamps), proper chronological ordering, and batch processing support for combining multiple participants into a single dataset ready for statistical modeling.

LexTALE Score Calculator

A batch processing tool for calculating LexTALE (Lexical Test for Advanced Learners of English) proficiency scores from Gorilla Experiment Builder output.

How can I use it? Click [preview] --> [launch] (don't hit [edit]), then go with the flow.

Key Features:

  1. Universal compatibility: Works seamlessly with both the original LexTALE task and extended versions with custom item counts. The tool dynamically calculates scores based on actual totals in your data, not hardcoded values.
  2. Multi-participant processing: Automatically detects and processes multiple participants from a single data file, eliminating the need to split files manually.
  3. Flexible input: Accepts CSV and Excel formats (.xlsx, .xls), with support for multiple file uploads in one batch.
  4. Accurate scoring: Implements the standard LexTALE formula: (% words correct + % nonwords correct) / filtering only valid item trials.

Output: A compiled CSV with Participant ID, Words Correct/Total, Nonwords Correct/Total, and Final LexTALE Score for each participant.
