Validating Author and Title Recognition Tests

We created an Author Recognition Test (ART) and Title Recognition Test (TRT). This experiment aims to validate the newly created tests by comparing ART and TRT performance with reading (single word reading and sentence reading efficiency) and spelling performance.

Fully programmed experiment

Built with Experiment

The experiment starts by collecting participant information (assent and demographics) and then redirects to Qualtrics to complete the ART and TRT. Participants are then redirected back to Gorilla where they complete the ROAR-LDT, ROAR-Sentence, and finally the spelling test. Participants need headphones for this experiment as the reading and spelling instructions are narrated to help poorer readers, and the spelling test stimuli are read aloud.
