Prizes for Winners: 10,000 tokens in total worth £7,500 (validity 1 year).
Prizes for Finalists: 50% off voucher for 250 tokens (validity 1 year).
Come for the tokens, stay for the happiness, prosperity, and everlasting success! OK, we might be getting ahead of ourselves, but look at how our previous winners have done!
What we offer:
10 free piloting tokens to applicants who register interest before the 1st of November.
A webinar series to help with technical issues, discuss best practicies in online behavioural experimentation, and answer any questions you may have about the grant application and assessment process.
We will give away up to 10,000 tokens worth £7,500 in total. We know that every study is different, so we have decided to make Gorilla Grants flexible this year.
When you submit your application form, explain your power calculation to us and tell us how many tokens you require (100, 250, or 500) to successfully do your research.
We know that applying takes time, so every person that submits a complete application but doesn't win tokens will instead get a 50% off voucher for up to 250 tokens.
You can apply if you are studying for an MSc, PhD, or starting your career in post-doctoral research. For a group application, the group leader must be designated as the applicant and first author.
All applicants must:
Design and write up a project proposal.
Create the experimental protocol within Gorilla.
Attend three free webinars (optional).
Submit the application form (download link below) with the supporting documents.
Send a max 45 sec face-to-camera video presenting your project (optional).
Winners are expected to:
Collect data online via recruitment services (Prolific Academic*, etc.) or social media.
Publish a pre-print or submit an article for publication before 1 March 2021. The applicant should be named as the first author.
Add Gorilla Grants as a collaborator to your project folder.
Attend three free webinars (optional) - for overview, times and registration please go to our webinar page, and we will send you joining details as the events approach.
If you can't make the webinars, you can also tweet us your questions @gorillapsyc using #GorillaGrants2019.
